These are perennial favorites with collectors of Spanish colonial coins. They were all found in a hoard around the early 2000s. The coins have a nearly identical look and are all NGC M61. I do love these and always carry them in inventory when I can find them. These 8 reales were early precursors of the US silver dollar and they circulated in the colonies and long after the revolution. They were also highly prized for trade in the orient.
