The capped bust half dollar is ever-popular with collectors. The main reason is the age of the coins combined with great eye appeal on many examples. Also, they are fun to collect with the many dates, over-dates, and other interesting varieties in the series. For the 1818, there are only around 200 or so available at AU58 or above. Mint state examples of this date get very expensive.
