The 1878-CC is the first year for Carson City Morgan dollar issues. It is often sought after by collectors for being the first year. In terms of rarity, it is about middle of the road relative to all the other dates. That said, in the DMPL grade, these are much tougher and are highly desirable with the CAC sticker.
