Deep Mirror Proof-Like is a description for the surfaces of a business strike coin that was struck early in a production run or after fresh dies had been switched in to the rotation. The nice fresh dies could produce coins with reflective fields and frosty devices, much like a proof coin. By standards of CAC, a "DMPL" coin must exhibit "extremely sharp, clear, and deep mirror reflectivity of every area of the fields on both sides of the coin."
