A lot of collectors find rattler holders (ie PCGS Generation 1 slabs) to be an interesting segment of the hobby to pursue. Many of these were conservatively graded and thus "cracked out" for upgrades by dealers looking to make a profit at the next grade up. Therefore, PCGS rattler holders are scarce today. They can be found at almost every coin show, but some coins are much tougher to find. In my experience, the toughest are those that offered people the most to gain in upgrades - like Carson City morgan dollars! 1892-CCs are especially tough and the 4th rarest date of the Carson City series. Therefore, it is a difficult date to find in a rattler holder. This example is pristine and perfect for the collector, and will have strong long-run potential with this popular but difficult segment of the hobby.
