These 1995-W Silver Eagle Proofs only came in the 10th Anniversary Gold Proof Set, of which 30,012 were made by the mint. This is a paltry number in comparison to the hundreds of thousands of proof silver dollars made in other years. The only other year that comes somewhat close is the 2019-S Enhanced Reverse Proof with 29,909 produced in San Francisco, but there were other proofs made that year from West Point. The 1995-W Proof stands alone as the rarest of the proof silver eagles.
